In memory of

Manuel Francisco Pimenta

February 17, 1942 -  March 21, 2021

It is with extreme sorrow that we announce the passing of Manuel (Frank) Pimenta. Manuel was a loving husband and father to 8 children. He and his wife Teresa had ambitously emigrated from Madeira Portugal to Canada in 1974 with 7 kids in tow and one on the way. He was a hard working family man who started off working at Perola Supermarket, his brother in laws family supermarket in Kensington Market , Toronto. Manuel moved on and spent 23 years working at A.R. Clarke Leather Manufacturing, Toronto and finished off his work career at Menu Pet Foods in Streetsville, Ontario. He loved spending time up at the cottage in Haliburton with his wife, kids and grandchildren. In the last years of his life Manuel had suffered from Alzheimers and recently had been hospitalized with COVID19. The family would like to thank all the staff who had lovingly cared for Manuel during his stay at Streetsville Care Community. Manuel will be dearly missed by Teresa - his wife of 58 years - as well as his children, Liana, John, Duarte, Carlos, Dina, Marco and Danny . It brings the family peace to know that Manuel will now be reunited in heaven with his son Louie , who suffered an untimely passing after a battle with cancer in 2012. Manuel loved his children's partners, Sean, Maggie, Angie, and Petra as if they were his own children. His life and legacy will forever live on in his grandchildren: Nicole, Katie, Melissa, Cora, Brittany, Shane, Breanna, Aidan, Kiera, Devyn, Kyle, Nolan, Kian, including his great grandchildren Cataleya and Josiah.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that you please donate to the Alzheimers Society of Peel (see Donations in main menu)
