It was with extreme sadness that I read of Mike's death. We worked hard together, argued together and laughed hard together. He will be missed.

Mahendra will be greatly missed. As the man who hired me at UL, I could not have asked for a better person to be my boss, co-worker and mentor. Mahendra had one of the most inspiring spirits I've ever witnessed in another person. He was thoughtful and hardworking, taking his time to analyze a situation before acting; but, he also had a witty sense of humor that could turn any frown into a smile in an instant.
I will always remember going to Las Vegas with him and his son, Justin, for a conference, showing me his leadership qualities and his commitment to UL's mission. I will remember his kindness and generosity when he invited me to play indoor soccer with a bunch of his friends in Toronto. I will remember his and his family's hospitality and absolute love for life when he invited our entire work team over for dinner. But, most importantly, I will remember him as a mentor and friend and the man who gave me a chance.
Love, Griff.
