In memory of

Mahboobeh Yazdani

September 24, 1936 -  June 22, 2024

Mahboobeh Yazdani was born in 1936 in a small hamlet near Shiraz, Iran, into a family of modest means but rich in strong values and faith. Her journey of compassion and care began when she studied to be a midwife in Iran and later earned her nursing degree in England. Mahboobeh was deeply loved by her patients and co-workers, having delivered hundreds, if not thousands, of babies throughout her illustrious career. Her years of dedicated service at the Ottawa General Hospital as a registered nurse and team leader earned her the admiration of staff, patients, and their families. After many years of enduring physical pain, she peacefully ascended to the Kingdom on High in her sleep on 22 June 2024. She is survived by her two daughters and extended family, leaving behind a legacy of dedicated service to society.
