In memory of

Mack Oikawa

December 1, 1922 -  February 15, 2019

It is with great sadness that we inform you of Mack Oikawa's passing on Friday, February 15th, 2019. He is survived by his wife Margaret; three children:
Gail, Elaine (Chris), Kevin (Erin); grandchildren: Kalen (Brad), Mariko, Jeffrey, Alison and Andrew and great-grandchildren Braden and Charlotte. Brother of Susie Sing (Harold),Victor (Maryann), Brother-in-law of Mary Oikawa. Predeceased by siblings Kats (Kuni, Edythe), Ace (Betty), Tosh (Yuri) and Tim. He will missed by many nieces and nephews and good friends.
Mack was in his 97th year, and our Family was fortunate to love him, and be recipients of his good humour and positive outlook on life.
We will be forever reminded of his immense abilities as we look at the numerous buildings he built in the GTA and his amazing paintings. Along with his athletic success as a ball player and a 3rd Dan Black-belt being a Canadian Judo Finalist, we celebrate his long life.
He was joy-filled!

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to JCCC, Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre.

Thank you!

We treasure the many memories of our Christmas night dessert times with the family. Mack’s joyous smile and playfulness was infectious. His sweet and gentle way of being will be missed . Rest In Peace.
