Adored mother of Rick Jr. (late Deborah), Debra (George), Alfred, Mary-Anne (Evert), Maureen (Terry) and Robert (Carmen). Mabel will also be dearly missed by “daughter” Kim (Michael) as well as by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mabel and Richard raised fifty foster children including Ritchie (Melissa) and late Angela. Mabel will be forever remembered for her unconditional love (especially for babies, but people in general), for her nurturing ways and for her tenacity. Visitation will take place at THORNTON CEMETERY & FUNERAL CENTRE, 1200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa, (South of Taunton Road and off of Dryden Blvd, 905-579-6787) on Monday, November 11, 2019 from 1 pm until time of Funeral Service at 2 pm. My heart is broken that I can no longer give you kisses and hugs but glad you are at peace and no longer in any pain. You taught all us kids great values in life, you treated everyone equal and didn't think of anybody more or less regardless of their social status. I will instill these values on my children as you did on me momma. I love you and miss you already.

How grateful I am for Mabel coming into my life. Mabel was a gracious, precious lady who gave so much unconditional love. Cheering on the Blue Jays with Mabel and Richard was fun and entertaining; however, the Toronto Maple Leafs... not so much 😉 spoken like Habs fan eh thank you Richard and family for your love and compassion to so many.
