In memory of

Mabel Eunice James

December 18, 1941 -  July 26, 2024

Mabel Eunice James, born on December 18, 1941, and peacefully departed this world on July 26, 2024, was a beacon of love, kindness, and selflessness. Known to many as a nurturer, Mabel had an innate ability to care for those around her, always placing others' needs above her own. Her warmth was felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Mabel was not only a beloved Mother, Sister, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and Auntie but also a gifted chef whose meals brought comfort and joy to her family and friends. She had a remarkable talent for bringing people together, whether it was through the meals she prepared or the phone calls she made to check in on loved ones. Her phone book was a testament to the many lives she touched, filled with the contact information of those she cared for and made a point to stay connected with.

Her home was always open, and she played a pivotal role in raising not just her own family but also the community around her. Mabel helped "raise a village," offering guidance, love and support to anyone in need. She was a loving sister to Lillieth (Lil), Charlestien (Delores), Archibald (Fitz) and pre-deceased by Livingston (Lee),Icilda (Icy), Sylvia (Sylvie) mother of Derrick (Lauriston), Jacquline (Karen–predeceased), Richard (Mug) and Marcia. Grandmother to Treanna (predeceased), Latoya, Jahnel, Jayden, Keyon and Sarah whom she nurtured with the same love and care she extended to all. Mabel also leaves behind 2 great grandchildren and 25 nieces and nephews and honoury mother and grandmother to Harvey Reynolds and family.

Mabel's legacy is one of boundless compassion and Love, a life dedicated to the service of others. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.
