MILBURY, Lynn Marie (nee Oakman) passed away peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Thursday May 2nd, 2024 at the age of 71.

Loving wife of the late Gordon Milbury. Predeceased by her parents William "Bill" & Alexandrina “Rena” Oakman. She is the loving sister of William “Bill” (Lynn Coe), the late Lori Leahy, Doug (Kim), Scott (Michelle) and Donna Oakman-Fyfe. Lynn will be lovingly remembered by her in laws; Glenda McKinnon (Ken), Margaret Lacey (Wayne), the late Paul (Lee), Lori LeBlond; predeceased by her sister-in-law Dianne Oakman and dearly missed by her many nieces and nephews. Her heart overflowed with maternal love for her loyal companions Abby and Rookie, whom she cared for and cherished as her children. The family would also like to thank neighbours Barb, Meg and Colin and Deanna from Community Care for their friendship, help and support for Lynn and Gord.

Milbury, Gordon Eugene ... passed away at the Campbellford Memorial Hospital on Thursday, April 27th, 2023 at the age of 74 years. Beloved husband of Lynn Milbury (nee Oakman) of Warkworth. Gord will be remembered by his siblings; Glenda McKinnon (Ken), Margaret Lacey (Wayne), Lori LeBlond and predeceased by his brother Paul Milbury (Lee). He is a special brother-in-law to Bill Oakman (Lynn Coe), Doug Oakman (Kim), Scott Oakman (Michelle), Donna Fyfe and predeceased by his sisters in law Lori Leahy and Dianne Oakman. Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. Gord was an animal lover and he will be missed by his pets Abby and Rookie. Gord's love of his animals was second to his love of Lynn. Known by his family as a Dog Whisperer, he treated all his pets as his children. Gord always had stories to share about his adventures over his well-lived life. Whether a stranger or a friend, if you were listening, Gord would tell you a story. The family would like to thank the staff of Campbellford Memorial Hospital for all their care and compassion.

A celebration of life for both Lynn & Gord will be held Saturday, June 22, 2024 at Pine Hills Cemetary and Funeral Centre 625 Birchmount Road, Scarborough. Visitation will be at 1:00 pm followed by a service at 2:00 pm.

If desired, memorial donations to the Campbellford Memorial Hospital Foundation or the Peterborough Humane Society would be appreciated. Memories, stories and condolences may be shared online on the webpage.

I was Gord and Lynn's housekeeper. But soon became more , when Gord passed I was worried for Lynn I knew how much she was hurting and lost with her love gone.
I continued to clean for Lynn weekly and we became close a wonderful friendship .
I miss her very much , I miss seeing Abby run out the door to play ball .
Well your pain is gone now my dear and I hope you are driving that golf cart watching Gord..
All my love Deanna

Lynn was such a joy to work with at Wal-Mart #3133 in Cobourg. She was a caring and thoughtful individual. In our talks, we found out that we liked playing the same game on facebook. As time went by, Lynn and I have been the only ones playing it for the last few years. After she and Gordon moved, I would talk to her through messenger. She had a great love for her family and friends. All that knew her, had their lives enriched by her. My condolences to her family and friends. An angel is there watching over you.
