Lunis Martha Wood nee Gaspard (Lun or Lunee), was born in Trinidad and Tobago on May 18, 1929. Passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 24, 2022 at the age of 92. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Darrell and Sharron, son-in-law Jeff, “adopted” son Dave, her grandchildren, Julian, Keely and Mayon and her sister Thelma.

She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother and a caring and kind friend. She cherished her Caribbean heritage, embraced the Canadian way of life and celebrated the culture of others. She was adventurous, curious and enjoyed travelling around the world and dancing to her “tunes”. She was also a visionary, and in many ways, she was ahead of her time. Lunis will be celebrated in a private ceremony by her friends and family. If desired, memorial donations may be made to Food Banks Canada, Diabetes Canada and The Kidney Foundation of Canada.
