In memory of

Lai Yin Lum

August 4, 1952 -  August 13, 2022

Lai Yin Lum, the third son of George Doo Lum and Tim Kwong Lum, passed peacefully on Aug.13/2022 after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his brothers and sister, Fay Yin Lum, Jean and Bill (spouse Lee), Michael Hing Lum and by his extended family of many nieces and nephews and their families who adored and loved him dearly.

Lai was a man of integrity and determination and enjoyed sharing his knowledge. He encouraged everyone to do their best in life and was so proud to hear about their accomplishments. He was a kind, caring individual, a good listener and always willing to help others, which made him very special.

He was a well-respected and admired systems designer for his dedicated work ethics and IT accomplishments. Lai graduated from University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Computer Science with a Major in Math. He took great pride in his work and loved to create and build things, doing a professional job at all his projects.

Everyone who knew Lai, enjoyed his company and great sense of humors. He always had interesting stories to share. He made a positive impact on our lives.

Special thanks to the staff at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.
