Luke Alexander Caine 67, of Scarborough passed away July 15 after a short illness.
Luke was born June 2, 1955 in Kingston Jamaica to the late Jephtah Caine and Pearl Caine. He migrated from Jamaica to Canada 1966. Luke attended Duke of York Public School in Toronto, Jarvis Colleigent in Toronto and completed high school at Agincourt Colleigent in Scarborough in 1973
After graduating, he attended the University of Toronto while working at Sam the Record Man. Upon completion, Luke worked in various manufacturing industries.
Due to medical circumstances which affected his grandmother’s personal health, he abandoned all personal ambitions and resorted to being a caregiver for her. As circumstances would have it, he also became the caregiver for his mother after his grandmother passed away.
Luke’s major passion was a love for Motown Music and other major labels that promoted rhythm and blues.
He is survived by his three siblings, Earl Caine, Tony Caine and Candy Caine.
