In memory of

Luis Manuel Martins Da Silva

February 1, 1938 -  January 24, 2023

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Luis Manuel Martins da Silva, on January 24, 2023 at Providence Healthcare, Toronto, one week short of his 85th birthday. Beloved and devoted husband of 56 years to Maria da Silva. He is survived by his loving children Bebiano and Givago, and beloved
grandchildren, Tristan, Ethan and Leonardo.
Luis immigrated to Canada in 1972 where he set roots in the Portuguese community and with his wife, worked tirelessly to establish a comfortable life
for his family. He labored for many years in the construction industry and later applied his same dedication and work ethic to running the family bakery business.
In his retired years, one might have caught him puttering around in his orchards or walking along the beach in Portugal, or enjoying a dark roast at the local Tim Hortons. Luis will be lovingly remembered by his friends and family in Portugal and Canada.
A Service will take place at PARK LAWN CEMETERY- MAUSOLEUM (2845 Bloor St W, Etobicoke, ON M8X 1A6) , Tuesday January 31, 2023 at approximately 10:45am - 11:00am . In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
