With sadness for her loss, but gratitude for her life and love, Lucy’s daughter Christa (Peter Bradstreet) announces the passing of her mum, (Maria Lucia Filomena Morra) on December 20th, 2018 at CAMA Woodlands, with her family by her side. Baba Lucy will also be remembered for her love and care by her two beloved granddaughters, Alexis and Zoya. She was predeceased by the grooviest dad and husband (55 years), Christo Costas, and her sister Anne Pucci.

She will be missed and remembered by her sister-in-law Joan Costas, her nieces and nephews (Bill, Luanne, Elaine, Donna, Marilyn, Chris, Nick, Peter, Andrea, Rhonda, Norma and John), great nieces and nephews, and her many friends.

Lucy moved to Canada, at the age of six, from Monteleone, Italy. She worked in retail, with a short modeling stint at Eaton’s. She loved the theatre, travelling and spending time with friends and family. Lucy lived with Alzheimer’s disease for 16 years. Though it was a long journey, she handled the challenges with grace and dignity and her usual quirky sense of humour. Both Lucy and Chris moved to CAMA Woodlands Nursing Home in 2011 and were cared for by the most incredible caring and loving staff, who became their family. For their love and care, Lucy and Chris's family will be eternally grateful.

Christmas was Lucy’s favourite time of the year. To celebrate the holiday season and Lucy’s life, please join us at a visitation, that will take place on Sunday December 23rd, 2018 from 2 – 5 pm at the Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre (375 Mount Pleasant Road, Toronto, 416-485-5572). The funeral service will take place on Monday December 24th, 2018 at 10:00am, with a visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada, KidSport Ontario and CAMA Woodlands.
