Lucia Vardon
1958 ~ 2022

After a courageous battle, it is with heavy hearts and a profound sense of loss that we announce the passing of Lucia Vardon on June 4th, 2022, at the age of 64, surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of Glenn for 42 years. Cherished mother of Giuseppe (Grazia), Robert (Rachel), and Maria (Dino). Devoted and proud Nonna to Giulia, Gianluca, Isabella, Alessia, Demetri, Gabriele, Elaina, Anthony, and Angelica.

Our hearts are broken by this sudden loss, and she will be greatly missed by her beloved family and friends.

Lucia was born to proud parents, Giuseppe Lentinello and Giuseppa Mauceri, on May 13, 1958, in Pachino, Sicily. She began her family shortly after immigrating to Canada in 1971, met the love of her life, Glenn, in 1979, and their family continued to grow.

Lucia was devoted to her family and spending time with her loved ones, especially her grandchildren, was her greatest pride. Those fortunate enough to have known her, knew she was an amazing woman. She was outgoing and had a very charismatic personality. She loved meeting new people, sharing stories with them, and always welcomed them into her home, making them feel special and loved. Lucia had a positive outlook on life and was an inspiration to those around her. She could always be counted on to make everyone smile and her infectious laugh and sense of humour will always be remembered.

Her greatest pleasures included cooking authentic homemade food, tending to her garden, and sharing the fruits of her labour with her family and friends.

Lucia had a heart of gold and was always willing to support and help others. She loved fiercely and deeply, and we take comfort in knowing that she is now at peace, surrounded by light.

She was one of a kind and to be loved by her was truly a blessing. Forever Loved, Forever Missed, & Forever in our Hearts!

Our family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the staff at Lakeridge Health Ajax Pickering Hospital for their care and compassion.

To our Cousins, I have such precious childhood memories of Auntie Lucy as I was growing up, she made me feel so special calling me handsome and the sweet smile she would share with me across a room. I know you’ll miss her so much so will I.
