In memory of

Luboslawa Kamila Bojmelgrin

June 8, 1930 -  August 30, 2021

With great sadness, we announce the passing of Mrs. Lusia Bojmelgrin on Monday August 30th, 2021, at the age of 91. She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Roman. Beloved mother of Helen (Igor) and Irek (Monica). Proud babcia of Tammy (Bill), Alex (Taylor), and Christine (Andy) and beloved prababcia to Sophie, Liam, Aiden, and Heidi who all brought delight to her life. Lusia was born and grew up in Lodz, Poland where she and Roman met. In 1969, they emigrated with their children to Canada, settling in the Toronto area. Lusia’s family was her pride and joy. She shared in their passions and their stories. She shared her passion at many memorable family gatherings treating her family and friends to her gourmet cooking. She will be dearly missed and never forgotten by her family, many friends, and neighbours.

Special thanks to Lusia’s caregivers and medical personnel at North York General Hospital and the Sunnybrook Palliative Care unit.

With great sadness I am reading about Lusias death. I have only seen her a few times in my life but once I visited and lived with her and Roman in Toronto with my grandmother when I was about 11 years old. This trip was a wonderful experience and I remember so details until today - not only the CN tower ;) - but the warm friendship I felt while I visited. I learned what real friendship means and that it can exists over continents. Nobody can destroy the bond between people who have grown up together, especially not in the circumstances of Lusia, Roman and my grandparents!
Feel hugged and all the best for Roman as well.❤️

Kochani,
wiadomość o śmieci Lusi stawia nas wszystkich w obliczu bezsilności i niełatwo znaleść słowa pociechy.
