April 16, 1929 to October 19, 2016

Passed away peacefully at Four Elms Retirement Residence on Wednesday October 19, 2016. Beloved wife of Henry (recently deceased), devoted mother of Ron and Bonnie (Ian), and Grandmother of Angela Young. Dear sister of siblings Bill Chu (Betty), Nelson Chu (Eunice), Alberta Lee, Dorothy Soo (Jack), Lorna Chow, Sandra Chin and Eileen Mah (predeceased). She is also survived by sisters-in-law Violet Cheng and Mabel Chow. Phyllis was a generous yet tenacious lady who will always hold a special place in our hearts, and will be sadly missed by her close family, many nieces, nephews and friends. She is now at peace and reunited with her loving husband Henry forevermore.

Many thanks to the staff at Four Elms Retirement Residence for the care and support provided to Phyllis, with a special note of appreciation extended to Vilma.

Farewell to one of the most beautiful souls and woman in my life. Grandma, from a young age you taught me so many life lessons that have helped shape the person I am today. Among these, you showed me how to be strong and you showed me how to be generous and for these, I'll forever be grateful. From the moments and conversations we shared, I'll always remember and treasure the special times we spent together and the memories we made. I'm so glad I was able to see you in Canada last year, smiling and happy, so we could make what would be our last time with eachother the best one.

I know you're now reunited with Grandpa, your undeniable other half, and although I miss you, that warms my heart. There'll always be a special place there for you Grandma, I love you and goodbye.
