Louis Wilberforce Isaacs, 75, of Brampton, passed away on December 21st, 2023 after a courageous battle with a brief illness. Louis was born on December 16th, 1948 to Louis and Doris Isaacs in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. Louis migrated to the United States of America to study Business Administration and came to Canada in 1972. Louis married his wife, Audrey, in 1974 and went on to have 2 daughters, Dana and Melissa. To his wife and daughters, he was a devoted father and husband.

He obtained employment with Desa Industries before joining the Toronto Police Services, kicking off a 36-year career in law enforcement. Prior to his retirement, he was the Area Supervisor for 11 and 13 Divisions. His position afforded him the opportunity to liaise between the Toronto Police Parking Enforcement Unit, the community and politicians from all three levels of Government.

During the time of his employment he was an active member of 13 Division Eglinton Sickle Cell Support Group bringing awareness to the community and served as a camp supervisor for ProAction Cops & Kids Camp operated by Toronto Police Services.

In 2015, Louis was a delegate member of the Sickle Cell Disease Association of Canada to Parliament Hill in Ottawa where he helped advocate on behalf Sickle Cell Disease research/funding. The Walnut Foundation of Brampton also benefited from Louis’ passion to bring awareness to men’s health. Louis participated in marathons and various fundraising events for both Camp Jumoke and the Walnut Foundation.

He was also an active member of the Bramalea Free Methodist Church community, as an usher, providing leadership to the Men’s Group and assisting where needed. Louis loved the Lord and was passionate about making everyone who attended feel welcomed. Louis accepted the Lord at an early age in the Ocho Rios Methodist Church, where he provided leadership to the Youth Group as a young adult.

Loui has been my mentor, big brother and advisor. We've known each other for over 33 years and during this time our two families developed a special bond.
Loui and I made it a unwritten part to celebrate each other's birthday over a meal or in some significant way.
On December 16th, 2023 my son and I were honored to be able to spend his 75th birthday at his bedside.
Loui, my Big brother. My family and I will miss you. You have left a mark on us in so many different ways. We will keep your memories in our heart.
Rest in God's loving arms now my brother. Until we meet again on that great resurrection morning.
I will always remember the song you sang this song God is so good, God is so good God is so good He's so good to me.
