Louis Petkopoulos of Toronto, Ontario, passed away on October 17, 2020 at the age of 69 after a long battle with cancer. He was surrounded by family in the comfort of his home.
Louis is survived by his wife Anastasia, mother Ioanna, daughter Helen, son John, daughter-in-law Krista, brother Zinon Petkopoulos, sister Lillian Kotsopoulos, his six grandchildren; Anneka, Lucas, Heidi, Lily, Arianne and Ryan; nieces, nephews, and extended family. He joins his beloved daughter Anne Marie in heaven. Louis was a loving father, husband, grandfather, and friend to everyone.
Louis worked hard his whole life. He owned two restaurants; Lucas and Oscars, with his brother. He would always steal the show at dances and weddings by dancing the “pushchano”. Louis loved watching the TorontoMaple Leafs and always would give his two cents about how he would coach the team.
Most of all, Louis was a family man. He did everything for his family and anyone who knew him knew he was always willing to help with any problem you had. He loved his wife and kids and had a special bond with his siblings. He thought he was blessed with the best nieces and nephews. His grandchildren were his world, and they all loved spending time with their Detho. He will be missed dearly by everyone.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, attendance at the visitation and funeral service is by invitation only. Condolence messages may be conveyed through Mr. Petkopoulos’s memorial page. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Sunnybrook Hospital - Odette Cancer Centre or St. Panteleimon Greek Orthodox Church.
