My condolences for your loss. I will remember Lou for his great sense of humor and quick wit.
Dear Michael and the rest of Mitchell family
Please accept our deepest condolences on your loss. Words can't adequately describe a great man who was my mentor, my colleague and my dearest friend. His great zest for life and laughter was truly exceptional. He did like apple, but his motto was always one joke a day. I am happy not to ever miss a chance to constantly remind him how lucky I was that my life crossed his.
Rest in peace my amazing friend.
Regards
JR
Always enjoyed Lou’s conversations and sense of humour. Very nice and interesting person to work with. Condolences to the family.

I first met Lou in the mid 80's when he was working for one of my competitors, and then subsequently hired him as our accountant when he retired from the competition. Lou did a fantastic job of whipping our books into shape and keeping the bank buried in information, which allowed me to concentrate on buying and selling our products. Lou eventually went into self retirement when the company computerised. At that time he had no appetite for computers but had laid a really good foundation which allowed us, with his help, to complete the transformation.
Lou had stayed a firm friend for the last 25 years and we used to meet for lunch on a regular basis until the advent of Covid-19. He was always up for a challange and was a fount of knowledge.
He was a great friend and will be sorely missed. He was always passionate about his extended family and frequently talked proudly about them all.
