In memory of

Lorraine Violet Halliday

September 20, 1932 -  October 27, 2022

It is with profound sadness we say goodbye to our loving mother, Lorraine Violet Halliday (Bridge), born September 20, 1932, who passed away at the age of 90 on October 27, 2022. Predeceased by her loving husband, Jack Bridge, and her infant son, John. Lorraine will be sadly missed and loved by her children Patricia (Earl), Sharon (Roy) and Steven (Julie). Remembered for her generosity and fun loving spirit she will be forever missed by her grandchildren Dylan (Brianne), Hayley (Todd), Jesse (Lauren), Zack, Taylor (Kyle), Kaitlyn (Andre) and Hayden (Christine) and her great grandchildren Sawyer, Hudson, Wyatt, and “soon to be “ Baby Girl DiMambro. She will also be missed by her nieces and nephews, her sister-in-law and lifetime friend, Joan Bridge, and her many friends.

Lorraine lived life to the fullest taking joy in spending time with family and friends. Retired early, she took an active role with her grandchildren attending their school events, family vacations and regular movie dates. When she moved to Pickering in 1998 she joined the Pickering Seniors Club where she enjoyed making new friends, playing Bingo and attending Saturday evening dances. While she faced much adversity in life Lorraine always remained positive, seeing life through rose colored glasses. No words can express how much she will be missed, especially by her family.

In keeping with her wishes cremation will take place. Join her family to celebrate her life Saturday November 5th, 2022 1-5 PM, Simple Alternative, 1057 Brock Road, Pickering. Word of Remembrance to be shared at 2:30 PM. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Sunnybrook Hospital or The Heart and Stroke Foundation.

I'm so incredibly sorry to hear of your loss. She was absolutely the best. Always full of laughter and really showed you what life was for. I think if we are all lucky enough to have even half her spirit and vitality, it would be a great life ♡
Thinking of you all during this time xo
