In memory of

Lori Ann Bessie

October 24, 1961 -  February 11, 2024

Lori Ann Bessie (Nee Balson) was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. She left this World suddenly on Sunday February 11, 2024 at the age of 62.

She was born to Roy and Beverly Balson on October 24, 1961 in Oshawa. Lori had a joyous childhood, spending summers at the cottage with her family in Haliburton. She loved swimming and sunshine. Before raising her children, Lori worked at Cadbury in Whitby and may or may not have brought home a lot of chocolate during that time. After having her kids, she went back to school to get her diploma in accounting and spent a few years working in the automotive department at Canadian Tire in Oshawa.

Lori loved animals and had a special love for Golden Retrievers. Sadly, she lost her beloved Sidney just a few months ago. She loved to watch car racing with her husband Scott on the weekends and always had a cheerful smile for everyone she came across.

She is survived by her loving parents, sister Karen Campbell (Shawn), her loving husband, Scott Hudson, her three children, Lindsay (Ali), Brianne, and Rob (Ashley). Lori had seven loving grandchildren, Sumayyah, Bilaal, Hamzah, Laylah, Aubrey, Zander and Hayley.

If you would like to make a charitable donation in Lori’s honour, please consider The Humane Society of Durham Region.

We were saddened to hear of Lori's passing. We will always remember the fun times we had with her back in the "Skootamatta" days.

Thinking of your family at this difficult time.

We have fond memories of Lori as a young bride and mother during her time at Skootamatta. We remember Lori as always being welcoming with her friendly smile.
We were so pleased that many years ago Lindsay visited with us at the lake with her husband and two young children.
We are so sorry for your loss, but so glad to learn that Lori found happiness.
