In memory of

Loretta Chi-Wai Wong

January 19, 1981 -  June 2, 2020

It is with great sadness and heartbreak that the Wong family announces the sudden passing of Loretta Wong on June 2, 2020.

Loretta will always be lovingly remembered and missed by her father and mother (Alexander and Susanna), her brothers (Michael and Thomas), sister in law (Linda), niece and nephew (Reagan and Dean), her extended family, friends, and colleagues.

Always cheerful, always thoughtful.

Loretta’s loyalty, love and kindness will never be forgotten.

We will always admire your huge heart, and always miss you.

LIVE WEBCAST INSTRUCTIONS:

The live webcast will start playing on this website at 8:30am on June 9, 2020.

FLOWERS / DONATION UPDATE:

We thank all those contacting the family to send flowers. Please consider making a donation instead to https://sheenasplace.org/support-sheenas-place/donate/. If you want to leave a message for the family, there will be a place to do so on the donation page if you use the “In Memory” dedication and enter the name “Loretta Wong”.

COVID-19 UPDATE:

Due to the government restrictions on COVID-19, the funeral home has limited the in-person service to a maximum of 10 people (including immediate family members). The rules were recently changed to no longer allow the cycling or substituting of visitors within the group of 10.

Please do not go to the funeral home unless you have specifically been contacted to attend in-person. The funeral home will be checking attendance for the 10 people by name and will not allow anyone else in.

We have struggled to accept this reality as nearly all friends and family are not allowed to attend in-person. Instead, a live webcast of the funeral service will be shown from 8:30am to 10:30am on Tuesday, June 9, 2020. The live webcast can be accessed by visiting this website at that time. No login will be required.

We appreciate everyone's understanding in these difficult circumstances.

Sincerely,
Alex, Susanna, Michael and Thomas

Loretta - no words can express what you mean to me nor will any day pass that I ever doubt you were the most loyal and genuine friend anyone could ever ask for. I’ve been so blessed to have someone like you in my life and I hope you know that. We could go days, months, years without speaking but always picked up where we last left. I never got to tell you how much I loved you and am so grateful to have you. I’ve gained an amazing angel. I pray you’re at peace now and please watch over me like you always have. Our precious memories and laughs will always be embedded in my heart, like it always has. This is what made us the best of friends! I love you so much, babe!!!! 23 years to forever..... I’ll still send you yellow roses on Valentine’s Day! Love you so much, Beautiful! I hope you’re waiting for me at the gates 😊 til we meet again ❤️

Dear family of Loretta,
I am deeply sorry to hear of your loss. Loretta was one of the most relaxed and intelligent people I have had the chance to work under. I have so much respect for how she could blend humor and professionalism to manage a successful business. She was always generous beyond what was expected of her. I will always carry fond memories of my time around her and I mourn for her. Love and happiness to you all. -Louis

Loretta was one of the most pleasant people I’ve ever met. She was raw and real, and unapologetically herself. She was always in good spirits and I hope she’ll be remembered that way.

I wish the Wong family and those close to her peace and comfort as you remember her.

I am saddened to hear this tragic news of the passing of Loretta, I have not seen Loretta for 17 years now but that has not taken away from the utter sadness that has taken hold. She was and always will be a shining star. Her life was short but she brought a lot of love to all that was fortunate to have known her. My deepest condolences to her family.
