In memory of

Loretta Ann "Laurie" Marshall

July 26, 1945 -  October 29, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Loretta “Laurie” Ann Marshall, who left us peacefully on October 29, 2024, at the age of 79. Born on July 26, 1945, to Jaqueline and Vernon Wilson, Laurie’s life was defined by warmth, love, and dedication to family. She was the beloved older sister to Marguerite (Margo) Susan Wilson (Ramsey) a devoted mother to her two children, Kathleen Ann Marshall and Sean Michael Marshall, and a proud mother-in-law to Gregory William Patton and Sofija Jovanovic.

Laurie was a deeply cherished grandmother to her "Little Angels," Quinn Jaqueline Patton and Rory William John Patton. Her love for her grandchildren knew no bounds, and she found immense joy in every moment spent with them. Laurie was known for her remarkable ability to bring people together, her generosity, and her nurturing spirit. A talented chef, her home was always filled with the comforting aromas of her homemade meals, which she shared freely with family and friends.

Laurie’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her as we cherish the countless ways she brightened our lives.

Do not stand by my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am the thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints in snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle, autumn rain.
As you awake with mornings hush,
I am theswift, up-flinging rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the day transcending night.
Do not stand by my grave, and cry,
I am not there,
I did not die.
Clare Harner
Hope these words comfort all of you. Marie
