In memory of

Lorans Halo

It is with great sadness and sorrow that we mourn the death of Lorans ("Lawrence") Atallah Halo. Lorans was a gracious and loving father, husband, son, brother, cousin, friend, and mentor. He passed away on September 6, 2022, at the age of 57.

Lorans is survived by his wife Louisa Halo (née Habash); children, Mathew, and Marina Halo; parents Atallah and Elaine Halo; siblings, Jacob, Laura, Francis and Sue, and their families.

Lorans was born in Jordan on January 11, 1965, to Atallah and Elaine. He came to Canada at the age of thirteen and loved to tell stories of memories created at family restaurants. He shared his passion for life and instilled principles of hard work and determination to family, friends, and others. He loved showing people how easy living could be by providing them guidance and care. As a business owner in the telecommunications industry servicing many spaces in the GTA, he contributed to a connected community and understood that life was the best teacher.

His spontaneous nature coupled with his joy of sharing and ensuring those around him were comfortable are qualities he will be remembered for. He loved organizing family gatherings and was always the centre of the party. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

By his side, through the latter stages of his cancer, were his closest friends and loved ones. Notwithstanding his hard-fought battle with cancer Lorans' courage, determination, and zeal to lead a life filled with joy, laughter and memories was brought on until the end.

Visitation for Lorans will be held on Sunday September 11, 2022 between 4 and 8 PM. Funeral services will take place on Monday September 12, 2022 @ 10 AM. Both visitation and funeral services will be held at Elgin Mills Cemetery, Cremation & Funeral Centres 1591 Elgin Mills Road East, Richmond Hill, ON, CANADA, L4S 1M9.

Lorans was a great man who focused on family and friends. He was a happy go getter that made people laugh and wanted to see everyone happy. He was a mentor to me and helped me to get and be the man I am today. His understanding and devotion to make the people better and happier is second to none. Rest In Peace my brother, my friend. You will truly be missed.😢🙏😢

It’s sad to know that Lorans has left us. We grew up together in Ramallah and I still remember the day we said goodbye to his family leaving to migrate to Canada. Lorans was always the centre of the party and looked after people around them. My heart is aching for my cousin and his family. May God give you strength to persevere. May he Rest In Peace. All my love to my family in Canada and USA I haven’t seen for over 20 years. Lorans left a gap for all of us.

My father and I loved going out to dinner, the movies, concerts, the beach.
The best concert we have been to was NKOTB and these people in front of us smelled so bad, every time they would raise their arms, it was soo funny.
