It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Loraine Rosetta Goring, of Whitby, Ontario, who passed away on Saturday September 21, 2024, at the age of 77, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa.
Loraine dedicated 20 years of her life to serving the community through her work as a PSW with St. Elizabeth. Her commitment to helping others left a lasting mark on those she supported until her retirement.
She will be remembered as a beloved partner to Marcel Goring, and a cherished mother to Natalie Goring (Benito Medina) and Glenn Goring (Amanda Goring); and a proud grandmother to her five grandchildren, Camille, Alycia, Taija, Brooklyn and Lexington. Loraine also leaves behind her sister, Ionie Woodley, and brother Auston Ruse and extended family in St. Kitts, West Indies and St. Thomas U.S Virgin Island.
Loraine’s memory will be forever cherished for her boundless love and kindness. She touched the lives of many and her spirit will continue to inspire us all. Loraine will be remembered for her laughter and celebrating birthdays and singing birthday songs with her grandchildren.

My deepest sympathy is extended to the siblings and family members of my dear friend Lorraine. Although we have traveled away from home to different parts if the world, when we were growing up in Sandy Point, we were always close friends and in a way, that makes her departure a more acute loss.
The good news is that we will meet again and that will be a wonderful reunion. Therefore, we look forward to that happy time when this orrow will turn into much joy.
