It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Liza Pui-Yin Moy on Monday, November 6, 2023 at the age of 89. Liza is predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Mel Chuck-Wang, and her brothers Chai Tong Au and Peter Chai Yiu Au. She will be dearly missed and affectionately remembered by her surviving sibling Stephen Chai Shun Au (Irene) and by her extended family of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Liza found joy in being with family and friends, traveling to different countries and meeting new people, and shopping. She took great pleasure in finding new restaurants for her family to experience and new recipes to test out.

She enjoyed having family and friends over for casual get-togethers or to celebrate the holidays. Her enthusiasm for food was seen in her cooking, her joy in eating and her adventurousness in tasting foods from around the world. She shared her passion for food with those around her and her excitement was hard to resist.

Liza was quick to smile and her laugh was so infectious that you would always find yourself laughing along with her.

Her family is very grateful for the wonderful care and compassion shown by the staff at Yee Hong – Finch.
