In memory of

Lionel Dubiansky

July 23, 1949 -  November 26, 2016

DUBIANSKY, LIONEL

It is with great sadness and broken hearts that the family of Lionel Dubiansky announce his passing. With his daughters by his side, Lionel passed away peacefully on November 26th at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre at the young age of 67.

Lionel is survived by his daughters, Casey (Rob) and Janice (Jason), and his four grandchildren (who were his pride and joy), Rachel, Kate, Luca and Ivy.

Lionel enjoyed spending time with his good friends in Toronto, Montreal and Arizona and was always truly grateful for the friendship, love and support he received from them over the years.

Lionel was a true gentleman - a man of integrity who always put others ahead of himself. He was well loved by friends and colleagues alike, always willing to provide guidance, support and advice. Lionel worked in the pharmaceutical industry for his entire career, having only recently retired. He was looking forward to the next stage of his life to start checking things off his bucket list.

His daughters would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to the doctors and nurses at Sunnybrook, especially Dr. Peckham, Dr. Myrehaug, Dr. Cheema and the incredible nurses in C2, who were so caring and compassionate towards their dad during his final two months.

Friends are invited to join his family to celebrate his wonderful life at the Elgin Mills Visitation Centre (1591 Elgin Mills Road, Richmond Hill). Visitations will be held on Wednesday, November 30th (6-9 p.m.) and Thursday, December 1st (1-2 p.m.). The service will follow at 2 p.m. on Thursday.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in memory of Lionel be made to Sunnybrook’s Odette Cancer Centre.

We've only met a few times, but what a gentleman and a fun loving spirit. May your memory live strong in the people's hearts you touched.

I worked with Lionel for more than 10 years at PTM. I was shocked and saddened to hear about his passing. He was a wonderful man who was always so proud of his daughters and grandchildren. May his memory be a blessing.

I worked with Lionel for many years. He was an enjoyable presence to be around. Lionel was a consummate professional with a good sense of humor & great story-telling skills. Lionel loved his family more than anything & was an exceptional dad & grandfather. I’m so saddened by his passing and want to extend my deepest sympathies to his family and friends from around the world.

I am shocked and very sad to hear of Lionel's passing. Having worked directly with him for 13 years, I enjoyed his industry stories and many sayings. He was very well liked by our clients and well known within the industry. However, I mostly remember him telling me about his daughters, and especially his grandchildren. He was an fine business man, but he also took time to learn about your life and family. My condolences to his family and may your memories of him bring comfort during this difficult time.
