Lionel A. Grant

July 18, 1933 -  December 13, 2022

Lionel Albert Grant, an avid cyclist, passed away at home at the age of 89. He was much loved and will be dearly missed by his extended family, friends, neighbours and his AA Community. He is remembered for his quick wit, love of horse racing, and his laughter that could fill a room.

Pre-deceased by his wife Ena (nee Nelson); siblings Alric, Alfred, Barrington (aka Keith), Desmond, Nora, Medora; and sons Laniel (Lois), Michael (Joy) and grandson Jonah.

Survived by siblings: Holroyd (aka Rose), Earl (Nicey), Barbara (John) and Frank; cousins Lincoln, Joan, Norma, Valerie, Buckley, Hyacinth, Leroy, Everard, Patrick, Glendon and Derrick; and, nieces and nephews in the UK, US, Canada and Jamaica.

Survived by children: Carol (Bertie), Yola (Rainer), Lauris, (Patricia), Donnetta (Yuri), Lannel, Lumumba (Yvonne), Peter (Judy), Harriett.

Survived by grandchildren: Michael Jr., Raquelle, Nicholas, Adriel, Jamal, Jordan, Lori Ann, Leon, Leah, Phillip, Ruth, David, Adrian, Malcolm, Miranda, Princeton, Pierresen, Paige, Janita, and Blake; along with great-grandchildren: Nathan, John-Paul, David, Jael (Raquelle); Jenai (Nicholas); Preston and Elliot (Leah); Liam, Emmett and Avery (Leon); Dominic and Mila (Phillip); Kadence (Adrian); and Yara (Jordan).

I miss you already, I remember the first day I helped Ayila with the picnic on Tuesdays, you were the first person I fixed a plate for and brought food and had conversation with you. I remember the joy in your eyes when you highered me to cook a birthday dinner for you this past summer I went all out for you as if you were my grand papa. Jerk chicken Jerk BBQ ribs mash potatoes broccoli coliflower oxtail maccroni salad and fresh juice and you had a bit off every thing you were so happy an full you sat for a long while so I relaized you had itis everyone sang happy birthday to you with me an cut cake. I will never forget your smile that day it will always be engraved in my soul forever rest in power Linole a.k.a King Richard.
