Linwood Jasper Walker, 88, passed away on May 14, 2022.

Linwood was born in Hopetown, Quebec on the Gaspe Peninsula. He left home at an early age to mine gold in northern Quebec. It is there he met Therese whom he married in 1959. Linwood continued mining until 1969 then returned to the Gaspe Peninsula to pursue fishing of lobster, cod and blue fin tuna.

Linwood and Therese raised their family in Port Daniel. Linwood was an amazing father to Tony, Christine and John. In 1979, the family moved to Ontario and lived in Collingwood, Barrie and finally Brampton.

A practical joker, he was known to play pranks on friends and family. Linwood had a great sense of humour and always told a great joke.

As the years passed and grandchildren entered Linwood's life, he doted on his grandchildren as seen in many pictures with a grandchild on his knee.

Linwood loved his children and grandchildren but it was Therese who was the love of his life. Married for almost 63 years, they joked as to who was the tougher of the two to be together that long.

Gone but never forgotten. We can still hear Linwood whistling and singing to his country music tunes. Till we meet again ...
