In memory of

Linda Elliott

September 14, 1956 -  January 31, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Linda Elliott, who died peacefully in palliative care at Credit Valley Hospital after a months-long battle with respiratory illness. She was 68 years old.

Linda was a writer, an intellectual, and a fiercely strong-willed woman. She approached life with curiosity and conviction, never shying away from a challenge or an opportunity to learn. Her words had weight, her thoughts had depth, and her presence left an undeniable mark on those who knew her.

She was the beloved mother of Christopher and mother-in-law of his partner, Theresa, and the cherished grandmother of Jovie, who brought her immeasurable joy. Linda was the eldest of six siblings and is survived by Joyce, Doug, and Susan. She was predeceased by her sister Joanne and brother Ollie, whom she held close in memory.

Linda’s legacy lives on in the stories she told, the wisdom she shared, and the strength she instilled in those who loved her. While we grieve her loss, we also celebrate the life she lived—one of intellect, resilience, and an unwavering spirit.

A gathering will be held to honour her memory on February 23rd 2025 from 9am - 11am at:

The Simple Alternative Funeral Home
1535 South Gateway Road
Mississauga, ON L4W 5J1

Linda was a very kind hearted woman. We had known each other since grade school and could always make me laugh, she was a very talented writer with strong ideals and loved her family. I am sad I won't be able to attend her celebration of Life as it is quite far to travel. I will be there in Spirit and my condolences to Joyce, Susan her son and the other family members. R.I.P Linda and Soar with the Angels 😇 💖
