In memory of

李翠琼 Linda Chu King Sit

June 12, 1933 -  February 5, 2024

Linda "Chu-King" Sit was a caring and loving wife, mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, sister and friend. She left this world suddenly on February 5, 2024 at age 90.
She was born to Mr. & Mrs. Chek Hong Lee on June 12, 1933 in Canton, China. After the Second World War ended, her family relocated to Victoria, BC where she later met her husband John Sit. Together they had 3 children: Tim, Lily, and Adam.

Linda had passions for gardening and cooking. Her gardens would produce a cornucopia of vegetables year after year. She would lovingly share her harvest with family and friends. As for her cooking passion, she had perfected Asian entrees and pastries that would rival many accomplished chefs in Asian cooking.

She was preceded in death by her husband John and her brother Mark Lee. She is survived by her older sister Jannie Yee as well as her son Tim (Waize) and their daughters Heather (granddaughter Hazel) and Holly, daughter Lily and her daughters Alexis and Brittney and her son Adam (Gwen) and their children Alec, Claire, Evan and Avery.

Our family would like to thank the R.S. McLaughlin Lakeridge Health Oshawa Durham Regional Cancer Centre (DRCC), especially to Dr. Zalewski and his Team, Dr. Shim and her Team, Dr. El-Mallah and his Team, and the Rapid Response Oncology Clinic (RROC) Team of nurses and therapists, the Doctors and nurses on mom's unit. You are the ones who helped mom look forward to her visits as she enjoyed laughing and sharing stories and jokes. Always making mom feel comfortable and at ease.

A special shout out to Carmelita and Virgil. We are very grateful for such a close friendship you had with mom, and always being there for her with the love and support when times we couldn't. Thank you for being a part of our family.
