In memory of

Lillian Ruth MacDonald

December 23, 1929 -  February 14, 2019

Ruth died as she lived: with quiet grace. She had been a 10-year resident of Castleview Wychwood Towers, and was there, tucked under Alex's pink paisley quilt, when she passed away.

Predeceased by her dedicated husband Alexander Sutherland MacDonald. Mother to Beth, John Sandy, Bruce and Jude. Grandmother to Laura, Colin, AJ and Ryan. Great-grandmother to Connor. Ruth was the oldest of five children: she now joins her brother Calvin and sister Patricia, and leaves behind sisters Betty and Dorothy. She loved faith in action, family, her work in Early Childhood Education, and all the children who came her way. Her response to the devastating diagnosis and creeping effects of Alzheimer’s disease was an inspiration to all who spent time with her. Special thanks to the staff at CWT, and to Debbie Erskine. There will be a 2 pm Memorial Service at Rosedale Presbyterian Church on Saturday, March 16 2019, followed by a reception. All are welcome.
