In memory of

Lillian Marlene Nagy

December 5, 1960 -  July 30, 2025

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lillian Marlene Nagy who was 64 years young.

Born and raised in Toronto, Lily dedicated her life to caring for others — from her career as a custodian with the Toronto District School Board, where she served for over three decades, to her tireless volunteer work abroad.

After retiring nearly two years ago, she embraced a life of purpose through travel and humanitarian aid.

Her loss is felt deeply by family, friends, and by the many lives she touched through her kindness and generosity.

Lily built a home in Kenya in 2005 in a village near Sebaki River and usually shipped barrels or brought luggage filled with clothing, sports equipment and essentials items for the locals, especially the children. She also raised money to purchase textbooks and school supplies.

She is affectionately known as “Mama Lily", a name befitting her joyful spirit and giving nature.

In more recent years, she was helping her greater community access clean drinking water.

Lily will be remembered for her big heart, gentle soul, her infectious radiant smile and her genuine kindness.

She always had a positive impact on everyone around her while shining her light wherever she went.

She is the caring daughter and step daughter of the late Irene Nagy, the late Alex Nagy and his wife Catherine Nagy. The beloved wife of John Moran. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Patrick Nagy and Amy Lo, Matthew Moran and Nicole Wright and Hollie. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Alex Nagy, April Nagy, the late Steven Nagy, Dave Bye, Katherine Hingle and Larry Hingle. Devoted Grandma of Jalen, Edie, Bruin and Maeve.

A celebration of Lillian’s life will be held after the service from 4pm - 11pm at 701 Sheppard Ave West in the reception room.

Memorial donations may be directed to the Lillian Nagy Memorial Fund. A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to support the family during this incredibly difficult time. To make a donation, please copy and past the following URL into your browser:

What a great lady that frequented Bluffers Marina, always in support of John.

Really sad and what a loss to all her family.

So glad I spent time talking and laughing with her.

So sorry Jonnie.
