In memory of

Lidia Frezza

January 29, 1940 -  February 28, 2022

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lidia Frezza on February 28th at the age of 82.
Lidia passed away peacefully at Credit Valley Hospital in Missisauga after bravely battling cancer. She rejoins her spouse Graziano, who predeceased her 11 years ago. She is survived by her two children Ed (Catherine Meyer) and Sandra. Loving sister of Norma Dobrich. Loving zia of Rob Cernobori (Daniela) and great aunt to Michael and Adam. Lidia was predeceased by her parents Ivan and Stefania Cukon. She will be sadly missed by Valerie, Teresa, Lidia, and many family & friends in Canada, Croatia, and Italy.
Lidia was born in Pomer, Croatia and married Graziano from Sisan, Croatia in 1961 and then moved to Canada. Her love for children, especially those with special needs, led her to work in daycare for many years until she retired. Her strong faith and love of music moved her to become part of the church choir at St Ambrose, where she sang every Sunday and made many life-long friends while doing what she loved. We will miss her patience, her playfulness, her generous, loving heart, and of course, her famous gnocchi and the many treats that came from her love of baking. She will be greatly missed more than we can say.
We would like to thank the team of doctors, nurses, and staff of Princess Margaret Hospital and then later at Credit Valley Hospital for their compassionate care over the last months, especially Dr. Dhillon.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 5th at 10 am at St. Ambrose Church, 782 Browns Line Etobicoke. Visitation will be Friday March 4th from 4 to 8 pm at The Simple Alternative, 1535 South Gateway Road Mississauga ON
The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to the Child Development Institute in Toronto in Lidia’s name.

Condoglianze a Edi e Caterina e a Sandra.

Dear Cathy and Ed & Family:
It is with a great sadness and sympathy to hear about your dear Mom. Please accept my deepest sympathy and condolences at this difficult time.
I will never forget when late Pani Josephine Majerczak spoke always so fondly of your Mom. I almost felt like I knew her because she often called Late Mrs. J. Majerczak and she was always eager to tell me how happy they both were to have each other and speak to each other often.
I will say prayers and let her Rest In Peace and I hope they both will become continued friends in heaven.
Cathy I am recuperating from very serious open heart surgery on January 27th…just came home. I had a total of 8 by passesses and I feel I got a second chance, remember me in your prayers as well. Love you both❤️🙏🇵🇱🇺🇦🇨🇦🙏and have good and fond memories of your dear Mom🙏✝️
