In memory of

Li Chi Lai

June 21, 1919 -  June 30, 2022

Resident of Richmond Hill, born in Singapore, passed away peacefully at Mackenzie Health Hospital, Richmond Hill on June 30 at the age of 103. She was survived by her beloved only son Rock S. Lee, daughter-in-law Faith, and granddaughter Kim.
She was a widowed mother, an independent and dynamic person who was not afraid of any obstacles. She raised her son in Hong Kong. During her working years, she also learned conversational English by listening. She enjoyed spending time with various people and was well liked by fellow workers and classmates of her son. She can be described as a very approachable, open-minded, kind and joyful person as many people have experienced. She loved dogs and little animals.
In 1978, she immigrated to Montreal, Canada to join her son. In 1980, she finally settled in Toronto. She loved to participate in community services and received a Volunteer Services Award from the Ontario Ministry of Citizenship.
She also loved to travel. Since 1989, she visited many cities in Europe, Britain, China, Taiwan, Japan and Southern Asia with various tour groups.
A private cremation ceremony has taken place at Mount Pleasant Elgin Mill Cemetery. She will be dearly missed by her family and all who knew her.
