In memory of

Leyland Vladimir Simms

October 21, 1986 -  November 13, 2019

Leyland Simms, aged 33, left us suddenly in Toronto on November 13, 2019. Ley was a bright, kind soul, a deep thinker with a twinkle in his eye and a wicked sense of humour.
Born in Winnipeg and growing up in London and Toronto, he was an inquisitive child who enjoyed basketball, Karate, Climbing and had a knack for technology and persuasive discussion. Ley held various sales positions in Toronto and Nanaimo, and earned a BA in Cognitive Science at York U, reflecting his deep interest in how people think and behave. He loved music, particularly rap, which he used creatively to express his inner world and call for social justice.
Ley will be deeply missed and shine on in the hearts of his parents Rob and Marissa, siblings Gen, Wes, Cam, Austin and extended family and friends across the country.
Friends will be received at THE SIMPLE ALTERNATIVE FUNERAL CENTRE 275 Lesmill Road, Toronto on Monday November 25, 2019 from 11am until service time at 12pm. Interment Beechwood Cemetery, Concord.

Goodbyes hurt the most when the story is left unfinished. Leyland, you were a kind a caring soul and I know you will continue to watch out for your family from beyond. I hope you are at peace now and know how much you were loved and will be missed.
