VARAHIDIS, LEONIDAS
Passed away peacefully on Saturday May 2, 2020 at the age of 91 at the Hellenic Home for the Aged. Loving husband of the late Domna. Beloved father of Mary(Frank) and George (Helen). Beloved Pappou (Grandfather) Nichole (Mirko), Leonidas(Cinthia), Anthony(Andrew). Propappou (Great grandfather) of Elena Our father was born in Florina Greece. He left the country that he loved in 1955 to come to Canada to marry our mother. Our father loved many things but his love for family- his children, grandchildren, great grandchild was always his first and most important love. He was the sole breadwinner and worked hard so that our family could have a good life. He loved going shopping and buying things that he could give to his family especially his three grandchildren. He loved his garden. Every year he would plant all sorts of vegetables that he would share with us, friends and the neighborhood. His other garden was the one in the front of the house for which he won awards. We will miss his generous spirit known by all that he touched during his life. As well, how his face would light up when he saw his children and grandchildren.
Our father will also be sadly missed by his many other relatives, friends.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Hellenic Home for the Aged Scarborough.
Due to the Covid 19 pandemic a private service will be held with immediate family only. A celebration of our Dad’s life will happen when we are allowed to do so.
