In memory of

Leonard Kwee

June 20, 1939 -  October 29, 2023

It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Leonard Kwee, age 84, at Milton District Hospital.

Born in Surabaya Indonesia to Bert Kendal and Juliana Go, Leo immigrated to Canada in March 1975 where he had a successful career as an accountant. As a prominent member of the Umat Katolik Indonesia (UKI) community, he loved his family, friends, cottage life and shiatsu.

Brother to the departed Arie Kwee, Leo is survived by sisters, Georgine Sudiono, Suzanne Kwee, his beloved wife of 58 years, Greta (Greet Sie), his daughters, Monique Faby Kendal (Greg Meikle) and Tanya Hawes (James Hawes). Opa was also loved dearly by his grandchildren, Giordan, Kieran, Rowen and Daphne.

The Kwee family wishes to thank the many people who have supported Leo over the years. We will forever cherish his memories and though we mourn his passing, we celebrate his life of love, laughter, determination and strength. He will always be in our hearts and greatly missed.

A celebration of life will be schedule at a later date. Please email tfkml.710@gmail.com (subject line: Celebration of Life) if you would like to be notified. In lieu of gifts, please consider a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Our thoughts are with the entire family. Leo was a good man. At the cottage he was like the ever ready bunny. May God Bless.

My most sincere condolences on your loss of Leo. Although I have only known him for 7 years he left an impact on me. It was always such a joy when he gave me his special smile or laugh! May he rest in eternal peace.
