HOVRING, Leif Borge

Passed away at home on February 18, 2024 at the age of 83. Predeceased by his parents Else and Borge and by his sister Henny. Loving brother of Bent (Helle), Ulla and Grete. Beloved uncle of Jesper and Henrik and many other nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his loving wife Daphne. Cherished stepdad of Stephanie (David) and Kelly (Mike). Adored grampa of Melissa and Ryan. Leif had two chosen families that he loved fiercely- the whole Mackie family and the Gray family (Ben, Nicci, Dan, Bonnie, Lee, Jane, Cooper, Austin, Mackenzie and Dannica). Leif cherished many special friends and all pets. He loved truck driving, golf and dancing. He will be remembered for his great sense of humour and his big heart. As per his own wishes, no formal services will be held. Arrangements entrusted to THORNTON CEMETERY & FUNERAL CENTRE, 1200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa, (South of Taunton Road and off of Dryden Blvd, 905-579-6787). In lieu of flowers donations will be gratefully accepted for the Humane Society of Durham Region.
