In memory of

Leena Kai Rosenberg

March 27, 1959 -  June 15, 2023

27 III 1959 - 15 VI 2023
With profound sadness, we remember our beloved Leena who left us much too soon, at the age of 64. She will be forever missed by her brother Mart (Elle) and nephews Priit (Claire), godson Taavo and Markus (Aliya) to whom she was a devoted aunt. Leena will be dearly missed by all her cousins and their families in Toronto, Sweden and Estonia. Her career was as a librarian and in office admininstration positions. She is mourned by everyone who knew her kind, caring disposition. Leena will be remembered for her active involvement over the years in the Estonian Girl Guides in Canada, her academic sorority Korp! Amicitia, the Toronto Estonian Kindergarten, the Toronto Estonian Supplementary Schools and most recently the Toronto Estonian St. Andrew's Lutheran congregation council.

Predeceased by her parents Aino (née Pohla) Rosenberg in 2013 and Heino Rosenberg in 1998.

A Celebration of Life will be held at York Cemetary, 180 Beecroft Road, Toronto, Friday, June 23, with visitation at 10 am, service at 10:30 and the interment. A reception will follow in the Victoria Suite. Memorial donations may be made to the Estonian Scouts and Guides Fund in Canada, the Toronto Estonian Supplementary Schools or the Toronto Humane Society, as her last words were asking about her cat Max.

I am so very sorry and saddened to hear about Leena. I have known her for many years, met her on the TTC and we have continued to be friends. She spoke about her brother, sister-in-law and nephews on most occasions when we spoke and how much she cherished them. She was a dear neighbor and friend. Unfortunately, I am unable to attend her service on Friday as I am working that day, but my thoughts and prayers will be with the family in this very difficult time in their lives. She is and will be sorely missed.

My deepest condolences to Mart, Elle, Priit, Taavo and Markus. I have lost my friend of almost 51 years. I'm still stunned and in shock. She was a kind, patient, classy lady and nice to everyone. I will miss her so much as will my daughters Nicole and Vanessa. She played, the sister/aunt role and was the unofficial Godmother in our lives. Thank you for being the most beautiful person inside and out. Your presence in our lives can never be forgotten or replaced. Love always, Vathsi xoxoxo
