In memory of

Lee Thien Tet

November 25, 1935 -  August 13, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Thien Tet Lee on Tuesday, Aug 13, 2024 at North York General Hospital. He passed away peacefully at the age of 89.

Dad was born on November 25th, 1935 in Sandakan, Sabah, East Malaysia. He came to Toronto, Canada with his wife and son in 1994 to reunite with the rest of his daughters who came earlier to study.

Dad lived an extraordinary life full of love, loyalty and determination. Dad has incredible memory that surpasses most. He was never wrong about his calculations. He enjoys asian food, loves to try out new things, avid traveller and meet new people. He enjoys spending time with grandchildren.

Beloved husband of Annie Leong. Loving father of Monica (Lee), Brenda (Leung), Christina and Sam. Cherished grandpa to Nicole, Nicholas and Ivan. John will be sadly missed by many relatives from around the globe, and friends within Toronto and around the world. He was a dear father, brother, uncle, aunts, friends but through it all, he was also the kindest father and man to all.

The private funeral and burial will be held on Monday, Aug 19 at 9am, at Elgin Mills Cemetery, 1591 Elgin Mills Rd E, Richmond Hill.

Dad, rest in peace. Your love and legacy live on in all of us. You will be solely missed dearly, Dad!

In lieu of flowers, John and his family request that charitable donations be made to World Vision or a charity of your choice.
