My stepfather uncle Lazaro Chan was pivotal in raising my sisters and I after we were orphaned in 1968 (victims of Ruby Tower earthquake disaster). He was a good father to us, and we will forever be indebted to him and my aunt Helen Wong Chan.
I am happy that he is now reunited with his long lost children (George, Elizabeth, Grace and Patrick) along with his parents and siblings.
We love you uncle Lazaro and we will miss you. May you rest in peace.
Bob , Jd and I are so sorry for your loss. Our deepest sympathies to you Helen and all the family.
Love Deb Eldjarnson and Bob Hutchings
So sorry about your loss our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
My dearest Uncle Lazaro. You and your family welcomed us with open arms when we came to Canada. You always just laughed at problems that came along your away, always jovial whenever I saw you.
You are now in heaven along with our grandmother, grandfather, Uncle Domingo and Uncle Leon. May you rest in peace, and comfort to those you have left behind. Rest easy.
Marriage gave me a relationship with uncle Lazaro. In the 37 years that I knew him, He remained mysterious to me in his quiet demeanor. Uncle Lazaro let his world know how big and loving his heart was, the same heart that knew when it was time to go to the big Mah Jong Room in heaven.
Until we meet again, May God hold you in the Palm of His Hand.
