Neden, Laurence Kenneth

On April 19, 2020 at Humber River Hospital in North York following a sudden illness, at the age of 91. Beloved husband of the late Velma (nee Seamone) for 33 years. Dear brother to sisters Betty Shand and the late June Gately.
Predeceased by his parents Francis and Verna Neden. Laurence will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews Susan Shand, (Glenn), Bill Shand, James Shand ( Gabriela), Joanna Hruskoci ( Ruben), Kevin Warner ( Yvette), Kelly Morrison ( Grant), Margaret Ann Fenech ( Gerry) as well as many grand-nieces and grand nephews and extended family. Laurence was born in Lethbridge, Alberta and later moved to Clarkson, Ontario with his family.
He was a longtime employee of Goodyear Canada, where he and Velma met. Laurence, or Larry as he was known to his friends and Velma were residents of Brampton for many years where they were active members of the Brampton Curling Club. He enjoyed playing golf and bridge, bird watching, exploring Canada and hunting in northern Ontario. Laurence and Velma spent many summers hosting family and friends at their cottage on MacLean Lake near Coldwater, Ontario, which they affectionately named "Velar". A family memorial service will be held at a later date. Donations to the charity of your choice in memory of Laurence would be appreciated.

Uncle Laurence will always be lovingly remembered. I'm going to miss him greatly, but so thankful for the many wonderful moments I shared with him, Mom and family. We sure enjoyed many, many great conversations, laughs, hugs and kisses - of which I will treasure forever. Always in my heart and thoughts, I love you, Uncle Laurence. With much love and hugs, Susan

Uncle Larry,

I'm so grateful for all the holidays we've spent together, the times you played bridge at our house, the swiss chalet TV dinners and all the beautiful moments we've had together. You are a special part of our family, and we will miss you very much.

I know you're resting peacefully, back in the arms of Aunt Val.

Love always,
Catherine
