In memory of

Laura Kraemer

March 27, 1976 -  February 24, 2019

Great sadness surrounds the announcement of the far too soon passing of Laura Kraemer; formerly Holdcroft. Laura was born to Norma and Derek Holdcroft March 27, 1976. She enjoyed a wonderful childhood spent with her brother Brian. During her forty two years here, Laura developed many long lasting childhood friendships. Laura’s interest as a student was to become a registered nurse. It is while studying at University in Windsor that Laura met Greg, who eight years later became her loving husband. Greg and Laura have shared a wonderful life together with their two sons Nolan and Calum. They have cherished the time spent on family vacations in Florida, numerous camping adventures and lots of exciting times in many hockey arenas. Calum and Nolan were truly blessed to have had Laura for their mother.
Laura’s kind and gentle approach has enriched the lives of numerous children throughout the world who are cared for at Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto. Her compassion for helping others has touched the lives of many also living in Durham Region through her work in Public Health.
Laura will always be remembered and loved by her husband Greg, sons Nolan and Calum, her brother Brian and his wife Laurie. Laura’s three nephews Kenten and Jade McKeag, William Holdcroft and her niece Bree Holdcroft as well as Laura’s father Derek and his partner Louise. Laura is missed by her father in-law Gerry Kraemer and his deceased wife Anne. Laura’s brother in-law and sister in-law Jim and Jo Anne McKeag , her sister-inlaw Judy and her partner Aurele will also greatly miss her love and sense of humour. Laura will be greatly missed by her many friends, colleagues and neighbours.
A celebration of Life will be held for Laura at the Thornton Funeral Home Oshawa.
It will begin on Thursday February 28, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. for the gathering of family and friends. All are invited to attend the ceremony beginning at 2:00 p.m. A reception will follow.
Memorial Donations made to The Sick Kids Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
