We are saddened to announce the passing of Laura Imrie Meikle on January 18, 2023 at the age of 90. Surrounded by her loved ones, Laura passed away peacefully at Dorothy Ley Hospice in Etobicoke. She will be lovingly remembered by her three remaining children, Anne, Janet and Robert. Along with her 9 grandchildren Denise, Jennifer, Shaun, Caitlin, Samantha Duncan, Victoria, Angela, Shelby, and 9 great grandchildren Andrew, Taylor, Evan Malakai, Isabella, Dakota Blair, Owen and Mason. She has finally been reunited with her late husband and daughter, Robert and Laura.

You may have passed on but your memories will live within us always. Thank you for your sacrifices, your care and concern, your love and everything you have done for our family. It is our turn to shine your light on the rest of the world, you've taught us well; your work here is done, may you rest in peace.

The Meikle Family would also like to thank the staff at Dorothy Ley Hospice for their compassion and support in Laura's final days. We thank you for all that you do and the help to ensure Laura's passing was peaceful. In lieu of flowers the family would prefer a donation be made in Laura's name to Dorothy Ley Hospice.

It is unthinkable that I will never get to speak with you again. You welcomed me into your family over 40 years ago and helped and taught me so much. My love for you has been unconditional and I will think of you so often in my daily routine. Thank you for the love you showed your grandchildren. They have so many wonderful memories of you.
Condolences to all your family and friends.
I will see you again at ‘the end of my journey’ as you so eloquently referred to it as. Rest in peace til I see you again.
