In memory of

Laura Barr

December 4, 1931 -  April 21, 2022

On April 21st, 2022 Laura (Nanny / Mom ) passed away peacefully in her sleep. She was 90 years old. Predeceased by her beloved son Steve and daughter Patricia. She is survived by her 6 surviving children, Dave, Karen, Daniel, Jim, Wayne & Brian, 24 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great grandchildren.

Laura was a beautiful soul who loved and accepted everyone for who they are, she wasn’t just our mom and grandmother she was everyone’s. She loved the simple things in life, like spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and her children, Laura’s greatest love was her family! She also enjoyed her time spent with her friends from Sears, going to the beach, having a nice cold beer and of course the bingo hall or the casino. Laura was quick to smile and laugh, she always made the best of every situation. She supported family through hard times and could count on her to give you honest if not tough advice. Laura (Nanny / Mom), will be greatly missed by all of those who had the pleasure to know her and spend time with her. 90 years still didn’t seem long enough!

Graveside service will be held at Pine Hills Cemetery located at 625 Birchmount Road, Scarborough, ON on Saturday, May 7th, 2022 at 1pm. Celebration of Life to immediately follow after service, all are welcome.
