It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Laum Fun Kwon (Raymond) age 90 on April 9, 2020 at Mon Sheong (Darcy) Toronto.
Raymond is survived by his wife Fay Chin Kwon, his children Lily (Tommy), Linda, Betty, Phillip (Mary), Gordon (Susan) and Peter; and his sister May (Fong). Loved Grandfather of Michelle (John Paul Liang), Christine (Tim Vance), and Donald Fong (Kathy); and Great-grandfather of Ruby, Emmy. Benjamin, Katherine, Elisabeth, Josephine, Laura, Evelyn and Norah.
He was blessed with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by sister Mei (Pang).
He was born and educated in Canton, China. Married in October 1946, he was working as a grocery clerk during the day and an accountant at night. He immigrated to Canada in 1952 to join his dad and began working in restaurants in Ontario and Quebec. In 1959, he moved to Outlook, Saskatchewan to open up a restaurant with family members. This is where he spent the majority of his life in Canada until retiring and moving back to Toronto.
We would like to thank everyone for their love and support during this difficult time. Due to current restrictions, a private funeral will be held for immediate family members. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in dad’s name to Mon Sheong foundation.
