Mr. Kwon is a good man who worked hard in raising the family and helpful to those in need. I remember the one summer I stayed at his home for the entire few months spent working in the restaurant with the family. I was included in the wedding of his nephew whom he had sponsored to come from china. He is a very generous gentleman. May he rest in peace!

We share your sadness in saying goodbye to Uncle Raymond - only brother to our mom, Mei - and wish that the circumstances were better for us to be there for you in person. There are so many wonderful memories that we have of the years
as business partners in Outlook. More importantly, we were blessed to have your parents' love, friendship and unconditional support. We are so grateful that we were able to share wonderful times with your dad in the retirement years. There were many road trips to Saskatoon as he loved to go for dim sum (when the pension cheques arrived) or he just liked to be in the car (he always planned to get his driver's licence!). We were so privileged that he and your mom were always an honoured part of our family celebrations - right down to my retirement banquet from
teaching. My nephews, especially Trevor will miss his "kel gung" (great-uncle) as
he was such a dear part of his childhood.
Family was always so important to Uncle Raymond. He delighted in any visits with
his grandchildren and we were so glad that your parents' move to Toronto made
those visits much more possible than their world in Outlook. It was always exciting to know that they were able to travel to all their grandchildren's weddings. (It made having them move away from Saskatchewan and away from us less sad as we would have loved to have them stay here! ) We are so grateful to be sharing
memories of our parents' visits to Toronto and the visits that your parents paid back
to Saskatoon. Richard and Ann were so happy to be able to visit with him on their
last trip to Toronto.
Our hearts will be grieving with you on Thursday. But, we are all so grateful to have
such good memories to comfort us. We know that you will find lovely memories of a life so well-lived to help you through the sad moments too. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
Love from Aunt Mei, Uncle Fong, Rose, Susan and Wayne, (Kevin and Leah and girls, Kyle and Gabriela, Kristian), Robert and Glenda, Ann (Trevor and Keira), and Richard
Dear Linda and family,
Condolences to you all from Moses and myself and our daughters Shanna and Larissa and their family.
I remember meeting your dad when we were at University. He was always pleasant, kind and hospitable. We enjoyed many dim sums in Toronto with your parents and Betty and Gordon. Moses remembers his hospitality when he visited the cafe in Outlook.
We hope the wonderful memories of him will enrich your lives forever.
Mr. Laum Fun Kwon 🙏
God Bless you and Keep you in His Care.
Love and Hugs to Phil & Mary and Family.
Raymond Kwon will definitely be missed. I would visit my mom at MS (Mon Sheong) on a frequent bases. Raymond would always sit near the dinning room area and whenever he sees me he would greet me or wave me down. I remember the first time I met him, I said, 'Hello' to him and he said, "Who are you?". I replied, "Luisa" his reply was "Lu - E - Sa mor?". I said, "yes". Raymond would reply "Ok, good".
The memories of him are priceless as he loves to always check out my take out boxes and grab it from his other hand. He is very bright! One time I asked him, "What are you eating" he replied in his Taishan dialect, vegetable, chicken and soup" and with my Canto Dialect I understood it differently, I heard him say "Yum Hong" I said, "Yum Tong"? He said, "no, no, no, YUM HONG". Ever since then I would say "Yum Hong"? He would nod his head and give me the thumps up!
Rare times he would speak French to me asking Commet ca va? . Whenever I walk by he will say to me, "You're here to visit your mom? Good Daughter". He was the one that makes my day when I go visit. He loves to sing the 'Shanghai tan 上海灘' song with a cleaning staff whenever she is on duty. That song brings back my childhood memories and the best part is Raymond would change the lyrics and make it a comedy version. Too funny! He brightens and brings out laughter to many staffs during the day with his words in a cheerful way. There are many many fond memories of him, these are just a few.
