陳馬麗莎姊妹生於主曆一九四二年四月十五日於中國, 廣東省江門市, 在家八姐弟妹中排行第二。幼年幫助父母料理家中業務, 其後於廣州完成學業。

麗莎姊妹於一九五八年移居香港, 於一九六零年結識陳天培弟兄, 並於一九六五年十二月二十五日受浸於香港旺角浸信會。一九六七年一月七日麗莎姊妹與天培弟兄於香港九龍城浸信會結婚, 育有子女賢璋、藹慈二人及內外男女孫四名, 兒女媳婿俱各有所成, 皆熱心愛主, 主恩實在述說不盡。

在九十年代, 麗莎姊妹一家移居加拿大多倫多, 加入城北華人基督教會。她跟隨丈夫積極参與教會各項活動, 熱心事奉, 在主日崇拜中當司事, 亦因她廚藝了得, 時常用心烹製各種美食讓弟兄姊妹分嘗, 增進團契歡樂氣氛。

麗莎姊妹居世八十四載, 常常喜歡背頌詩篇二十三篇以鼓勵自己和家中各人, 凡事信靠耶和華, 她深信, 「我一生一世必有恩惠慈愛隨著我；我且要住在耶和華的殿中，直到永遠。」(詩篇二十三篇六節)

Mrs. Lai Sar Mabel Chan Ma was born on April 15, 1942, in Jiangmen, a city in Guangdong, China. She was the second oldest of eight children in her family. While still a girl, she helped out in the family’s business, and finished school in Guangzhou.

Mabel moved to Hong Kong in 1958 and met brother Tin Pui Chan in 1960. Mabel was baptized on December 25, 1965, in Mongkok Baptist Church. On January 7, 1967, Mabel and Tin married at Kowloon City Baptist Church. They were blessed with two children, Alan and Betty, who now have their own families and are both actively involved in church ministries. Mabel and Tin were also blessed with four grandchildren who are now growing up in church and learning to serve God.

In the 1990s, Mabel settled in Toronto with her family and joined Richmond Hill Christian Community Church. Following her husband’s lead, she often served as an usher in Sunday Services, and with her talent in cooking, she loved preparing delicious dishes for brothers and sisters in her fellowship.

Mabel lived a full abundant life for eighty-four years with the Lord’s blessings. She loved reading Psalm 23 and being encouraged by God’s words in her daily life. She believed that, “Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” (Psalm 23:6)
