In memory of

Lai Ming Lee

December 13, 1956 -  July 7, 2020

Lai Ming(Lily) Lee Chow, age 63, passed away peacefully July 7, 2020 after a long fight with cancer. She was born December 13, 1956 in Peking, China to Chung Ho Lee and Yuk Ying Kwok. She married her husband, Daniel Chow in May 26, 1989.

Lily attended her elementary school in Peking, middle school and high school in Changsha. She earned her medical degree from Hunan Medical University in 1982. She was an OBGYN doctor in China and delivered many healthy babies. After her family moved to Hong Kong, Lily studied hard for Hong Kong Medical Doctor License Exam. She successfully got her Doctor license in Hong Kong. She practiced OBGYN in Pamela Youde Nethersole hospital. While she was working in the hospital, she was famous for her baby delivering skills. Her boss always said, "if Dr. Lee is on call tonight, I will have a good night sleep."

In 1985, Lily met her husband, Daniel Chow. They fell in love and got married soon. After Daniel got a job in Canada, Lily quit her Doctor job in Hong Kong and moved with him to Canada in 1989. After moving to Canada, she was amazed by the natural beauty of Canada. She pictured her future near the lake. She opened a restaurant in 1992 and custom designed and built her home near the lake in 1998. Since then, her home became a popular party and gathering place for family and friends from all of the places, China, Hong Kong and USA. Many happy moments were captured here.

During her cancer battle from 2003 to 2020, she demonstrated her bravery of facing many treatment challenges. Her positive thinking made her a true fighter. She shared her cancer experiences with other patients, gave medical advice, and encouraged them to enjoy life day by day. As she said, "Accept the things you cannot change and change the things you can.” She will be missed by all, but her memory will live on in us all forever.

Please join us celebrating her life Thursday afternoon July 16, 2020, between 1:00pm - 3:00pm ET at Elgin Mills Cemetery, Cremation & Funeral Centers, 1591 Elgin Mills Road East, Richmond Hill, ON, CANADA.
