In her 98th year, 林麗霞 / Lai Har Lam (nee Pong / 彭) passed away peacefully during the night, joining her late husband Yip Wah/葉華 and sons Eddie and Ron as well as siblings Ching Ha, Gene Coon, Mary and Tom; and, parents Jack and Chung Oy. She will be missed dearly by her daughters Judy (Tony), Rosa (Sam), Betty (Cheuk) and Helen (Onorio); daughter-in-law Renee; siblings May Har (Shau Ning), Jack (Roslyn), Betty and Bill (Carrie); sister-in-law Jane; and her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Lai Har enjoyed traveling and was open to new experiences. She loved family gatherings, often sharing stories and imparting wisdom. Pastimes included swimming, playing mahjong and trips to the casino.
